Clamshell

Clamshell Blisters consist of a front and a back side that are connected with a ”hinge. They can be designed with various mechanical lockings, i.e. knobs or frame-sealing. Clamshells can also be made tamper proof by heat-sealing whole or part of the rim.

Clamshells are often produced in partly recycled PET when they have mechanichal locking function. If the clamshell is to be heat-sealed, a suitable PET qualtiy is choosen. Other materials, i.e. Bio-plastics, can be used in most applications. Clamshell is always 100% recyclable
